More than 25 years of training…

ICARE was created in Morlaix, in Brittany, in 1991 to provide training for the pilots, cabin crew and maintenance technicians of its parent airline BRIT AIR (AIR FRANCE Group).

The training center immediately invested in its first ATR 42/72 Flight Simulator.

Having anticipated the forthcoming European aviation regulations, it became France’s first T.R.T.O. (Type Rate Training Organization) approved aviation training center.

Key events in HOP!-TRAINING by ICARE’s success:

  • 2001: Acquisition of a second Operational Flight Simulator Bombardier CRJ100/200 & 700,
  • 2003: Became one of France’s first IATA accredited centers and obtained PART 147 accreditation for maintenance training,
  • 2006: ATR 42/72 simulator upgraded to 42-500; received a world first 3-year certification for operating the CRJ200/700 flight simulator,
  • 2008: 2 new approvals; as a Language Proficiency Organization (LPO) and as a Safety Certificate training provider for cabin crew,
  • 2009: Acquisition and approval of the Bombardier CRJ700/1000 Flight Simulator,
  • 2012: Becomes an AIRCREW-compliant ATO (Approved Training Organization),
  • 2014: A new brand, a new business identity: ICARE becomes HOP!-TRAINING by ICARE, the training provider for    regional airline HOP!
  • 2014: An additional HOP!-TRAINING Center established at Air France’s Paris site,
  • 2016: Arrival of a new Full Flight Simulator : Embraer ERJ145 to Morlaix.
